Leapfrog’s May Market Insights report uses the spring 2026 Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grades to highlight gaps in key Outcome measures of patient safety, particularly falls and trauma, and central line–associated bloodstream infections (CLABSI). The analysis shows that A hospitals have less than half the rate of serious falls and CLABSI compared to D and F hospitals, emphasizing how Hospital Safety Grade results can help stakeholders target improvement efforts and also identify hospitals where patients are less likely to experience preventable harm.
